Going Bananas


Bananas are abundant all year round in the Philippines and are a staple food in many homes. I find that they are a great grab and go food to take with you as a quick energizing snack and as a compliment to a host of other flavors. Delicious pairings include banana and strawberries, banana and peanut butter and the classic banana and chocolate.

Today, the kitchen at Taal Vista Hotel is sharing an energizing banana and chocolate smoothie with a nice kick of mint. Mint is reputed to be a great herbal remedy for the common cold.   

Banana Choco Mint Smoothie

Ingredients:

2 pcs señorita bananas, chopped

2 tbsp chocolate tablea, crushed or ground

1 cup crushed iced

1tbsp honey

A sprig of mint

 

Procedure:

1.       Prepare all the ingredients.

2.       Put them all in a blender. Blend.

3.       Pour the mixture in a glass and garnish with an extra sprig of mint.
